Viksit Bharat: PM Modi inaugurated the 77 feet tall bronze statue of Lord Ram as part of the 550th year celebrations of Shri Sansthan Gokarna Jeevottam Math in Goa. He said that this is the center of spirituality.
Developed India: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that the path to developed India passes through the unity of the people. Also, present day India is experiencing cultural change. A 77-feet tall bronze statue of Lord Ram was unveiled as part of the 550th year celebrations of Sri Sansthan Gokarna Jeevottam Math in Goa. During this, PM Modi said that when the society works in unity, every sector grows and the country is ready to take a big leap. He further said that the renovation of Ram temple in Ayodhya, large-scale renovation of Kashi Vishwanath Dham and expansion of Mahakal Mahalok in Ujjain are examples of vigorous revival of spiritual heritage.
Culture was preserved even after facing the storm
Prime Minister Modi said that despite many difficult circumstances, Goa has not only maintained its original culture but has also revived it with time. Modi said that there were many times when Goa’s temples and local traditions faced difficulties due to pressure on language and cultural identity. He said that the spirit of the situation could not be weakened. PM Modi said that the specialty of Goa is that despite many changes, it has preserved its culture and is continuously coming alive with time. Apart from this, Modi praised the Math and said that in the last 550 years, this institution has faced countless storms of time, but even after all the eras and challenges, the Math has not changed its direction. Rather it maintained its identity as a cultural center of the people.
had a spiritual experience in a monastery
PM Modi also inaugurated a theme park based on Ramayana and said that this cultural park will become a permanent center of meditation, inspiration and devotion for the coming generations. He further said that living with sages and saints is a spiritual experience. Apart from this, Modi also visited the temple of the monastery in Partgali, South Goa. Goa’s Public Works Department Minister Digambar Kamat said that sculptor Ram Sutar, who designed the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, has created the idol of Lord Ram. Also, this statue of Lord Ram is the tallest in the world. The monastery located in Goa is known for its spiritual, cultural and social contributions and has a special place in the Saraswat community.
