He has played 322 in ODI career in which he has taken 400, due to which he sits in fourth place in the list of the highest wicket bowlers. Apart from this, in the year 2001, the match was played between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, where the Sri Lankan bowler Chaminda fell behind the hungry lion behind the opposing team’s batsmen and the entire team collapsed at 38 runs.
