Train Accident In Mirzapur : A major accident has occurred in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. Four people have died after being hit by a train at Chunar station. According to the information, the passengers died after being hit by the train while crossing the railway track. Administration officials are on the spot and relief and rescue operations are being carried out. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of this incident and has given instructions to speed up the relief work.
How did the accident happen?
According to the updates that have come out so far regarding the train accident, this accident happened at 9:30 am at Chunar railway station in Mirzapur district. Many people were hit by train number 12311. According to reports, 4 people have died so far. This accident happened when the devotees were crossing the railway line. According to railway officials, the passengers did not get down towards the train platform but in the opposite direction, where they were hit by another train coming from the other direction.
Accident on the occasion of Kartik Purnima
According to the information received, a very painful accident took place at Chunar Railway Station in Mirzapur at 9.30 am today. This accident happened due to being hit by Netaji Express train going from Howrah to Kalka. All these passengers were devotees, who had alighted from Chopan Prayagraj Express at Chunar railway station. These devotees had come to Mirzapur for the Kartik Purnima bath. But despite there being a foot over bridge, after getting down in the wrong direction, they were crossing the platform from the tracks. During that time this accident happened.
CM Yogi took cognizance of the incident
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of this incident. The Chief Minister has ordered the officials to immediately reach the spot and speed up the relief work. CM Yogi has instructed SDRF and NDRF teams to reach the spot and speed up the relief work. CM Yogi has expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. CM Yogi has wished for the speedy recovery of the injured and has given instructions for proper treatment.
Railway’s statement came out
Now Railway’s statement regarding the incident has come out. On the morning of November 5, some people reached Chunar railway station in Mirzapur by Chopan Chunar passenger train, but instead of the main door, they got down on the second line from another door of the train. Then the Kalka-Howrah train came on the line and people got hit by it due to which they died.
