Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Grover suspended Sub-Inspector Jai Prakash Singh to fail to take action on the complaint lodged earlier by the victim’s family.
Gorakhpur: The woman died on the phone in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, after hearing the word triple talaq. It is said that the in -laws were constantly harassing the woman for dowry. A woman being constantly tortured by in -laws for dowry committed suicide after giving ‘triple divorce’ from her husband to her husband. Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Grover said that the police suspended a sub-inspector and ordered a departmental inquiry for negligence in registering a case on the complaint of dowry harassment.
Sub -inspector suspended on negligence
Sania hanged her room in her room after receiving a call from her husband living in Maharashtra on Monday evening. In this case, Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Grover suspended Sub-Inspector Jai Prakash Singh to fail to take action on the complaint lodged earlier by the victim’s family. According to police officials, Sania’s mother Asiya had approached the Chauri Chaura police station accusing her in -laws of dowry harassment.

Sania was married to Salauddin on 7 August 2023
The police have registered an FIR against Sania’s husband Salauddin living in Maharashtra. The FIR states that Salauddin said three divorces on the phone on Monday evening and abused Sania during the call. Due to which he committed suicide. Family members said that Sania was married to Salauddin on 7 August 2023. According to the demands in marriage, a lot of dowry was given. Family members said that Sania was repeatedly harassed by her husband, her mother Saira, Bhabhis Asiya, Khushboo and Rosie and brother-in-law Jia-ul-Uddin and Balauddin. He said that despite many attempts to resolve the case, the harassment continued.
