Donald Trump: US President Donald Trump said on India-Pakistan ceasefire that he has helped in bringing an agreement between the two neighbours.

Donald Trump: US President Donald Trump is haunted by the ghost of getting the Nobel Peace Price, for which he keeps repeating his claim of stopping the war again and again. He says that he has stopped 8 wars including India-Pakistan, hence he should get Nobel Peace Price. Referring to the Russia-Ukraine war at the Cabinet meeting, Trump said, “We have ended eight wars and I hope we will end one more.”
‘Nobel should be given for every fight’
Trump said, “Every time I finish a fight, they say, ‘If President Trump ends that fight, he will get the Nobel Prize.’ Well, not for that fight, but I will get it for the next fight. Now they are saying, ‘If I ever finish the Russia and Ukraine fight, I will get the Nobel Prize.’ What about the other eight fights? India-Pakistan… think of all the fights I finished.” Trump said, I should get a Nobel Prize for every war, but I don’t want to be greedy.
Have taken credit more than 60 times
The US President said that he is more fond of the lives being lost in these wars and the 2025 Nobel Prize winner, Venezuelan activist Maria Corina Machado Parisaca, had said that he deserves the Nobel Prize. Since May 10, when Trump announced on social media that India and Pakistan had agreed to a “complete and immediate” ceasefire after long night talks brokered by Washington, he has repeated more than 60 times the claim that he “helped defuse” tensions between the two neighbours.
India’s side
Despite Trump’s claims, India has consistently denied any third party interference. Let us tell you that India started Operation Sindoor on May 7, in which terrorist structures were targeted in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in retaliation to the Pahalgam attack on April 22, in which 26 civilians were killed. India and Pakistan agreed to end fighting on May 10 after four days of cross-border drone and missile attacks.
