India’s stand is clear
However, India has already made its stand clear regarding purchasing oil from Russia. America has put pressure on India several times to buy oil from Russia and not only this, it has also imposed an additional duty of 50 percent on India. Regarding this matter, India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has already said that India’s energy purchase is driven by national interest. We do not import from any country on the basis of political considerations. Our decisions are driven by market realities.
