Tutor kidnapped student in Punjab, recovered from Darjeeling, police arrested teacher

The student is a native of Kangra in Himachal Pradesh. Presently, he was living in a rented house in Hoshiarpur with his parents. He used to study tuition daily from Bhupinder Singh (51).

Hoshiarpur (Punjab): The Punjab Police recovered the abducted student from Darjeeling a month ago. The kidnapper tutor has been arrested by the police. The tutor had imprisoned the student in a hotel. A police officer said on Sunday that a 13 -year -old student was kidnapped by his tutor a month ago. The police recovered the student and arrested the kidnapper.

All the numbers were not allowed to talk to the child

Model Town SHO Sub-Inspector Gursahib Singh said that the student is a native of Kangra in Himachal Pradesh. Presently, he was living in a rented house in Hoshiarpur with his parents. The boy studying in class 7 used to study tuition from Bhupinder Singh (51) living in Dashmesh Nagar daily between 3 and 7.30 pm. According to the police, Bhupinder Singh somehow convinced the boy’s parents to let him take the child to Shimla for two days. However, after taking the boy with him on March 12, he blocked all the contact numbers of the family and stopped the child from talking to someone.

The boy’s parents searched for him for about 18 days, but when he failed to find out the kidnapper and his child, he lodged an FIR. On April 2, an FIR was lodged at the Model Town Police Station under the relevant provisions of the law, which relates to the punishment of kidnapping someone with the intention of kidnapping or secretly hostage. The search for Bhupinder was started, which changed his hideout to avoid arrest.

Student presented before Child Welfare Committee

Eventually the police found him in a hotel in Darjeeling in West Bengal and arrested him. The student was saved safely. Police said that the accused had taken the tutor boy close to the Nepal border and there is a strong possibility that he had entered Nepal with the child. The rescued boy has been produced before the Child Welfare Committee, while the accused was produced in a court. Who sent him to four days police custody for further questioning. Police is investigating the motive behind the kidnapping.
