RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav accused the election officials in Patna that he had sent a notice to him for his own mistake by sending two EPIC numbers.

Patna: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday accused the election officials in Patna that he had sent a notice to two EPIC numbers and convicted him for his own mistake. The former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar also claimed that a good reply is being prepared for the notice sent last week, so that they will not have anything to say. I have received notice not from the Election Commission, but from the Patna district administration. A good answer is being prepared and when received, they will have nothing to say. They are trying to blame me for their own mistake. If two EPIC numbers have been issued in my name, then whose mistake is this? After all, I have been casting my vote from only one place. Yadav said that who is the Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly.

Accused of changing EPIC number

Significantly, he had discovered his EPIC number online in the draft voter list last week, which results in “no records”. Claiming that the names of several other rich persons, including senior bureaucrats, were removed from the draft role published as part of special intensive revision. He has expressed serious doubts over the effectiveness of this huge practice, which he alleges that it is an attempt to help the ruling BJP -led NDA in the upcoming assembly elections in the state. Patna district administration denied the allegations of Yadav and shared a screenshot of a part of the draft voter list in which the names and photos of the young leader, as well as his father Lalu Prasad, RJD president, could also be seen. However, Yadav was adamant on his statement and accused the election officials of changing my EPIC number, while the NDA demanded that the RJD leader be prosecuted for having two voter ID cards.

DM rejected Tejashwi’s claim

The District Magistrate of Patna made it clear that the EPIC number in his record is the same as the Leader of the Opposition told him in his affidavit in the 2020 elections. After this, the sub-divisional magistrate of Patna (Sadar), who is also an Electoral Registration Officer for Digha assembly constituency, where Yadav and his family members are registered as voters, issued a letter and asked the RJD leader to hand over the voter ID card for complete investigation, which was not officially issued. Regarding the meeting, he said that we have many issues to discuss. The country is facing many crises. The Donald Trump administration has taken a tariff aggressive stance against the country and the Narendra Modi government is a deaf silence. The RJD leader said that the seat sharing is not a thing to be decided inside the Parliament House.

Anant Singh’s claim was ridiculous

Tejashwi Yadav, who became the second time MLA from Raghopur, also made fun of the claim of controversial former MLA Anant Singh that if Chief Minister Nitish Kumar -led JD (U) takes him to the field against the RJD leader, he will get Yadav’s bail. Tejashwi Yadav replied in a satirical tone that our party spokesperson Bantu Singh is the right person to respond to such a claim. Bantu Singh was once close to gangster -turned -leader Anant Singh, who has represented Mokama several times on JD (U) and RJD tickets and as an independent. However, last year, when Nitish Kumar broke away from the RJD and returned to the BJP -led alliance, Neelam Devi joined the NDA.
