Mumbai: IPS Sudhakar Pathare and another person died in a road accident in Telangana on Saturday. Sudhakar Pathare was posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police in Mumbai Port Zone. The accident took place on Saturday afternoon in Nagarakurnool, Telangana. A police officer, who arrived at the scene after the accident, said that the 2010 batch Indian Police Service Officer, Pathare and his friend Innova, were traveling in a car, who collided with a bus.
Mumbai Police expressed grief over the untimely demise of Pathare
The official said that Pathare had come to Hyderabad to participate in the mid -care training program. He was going to Srisailam (Nandyal district) with his friend to visit the temple. The Innova in which he was traveling, he collided with a bus. After the accident, people nearby admitted to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared both dead. Mumbai Police said in a statement that the Mumbai Police is saddened by the untimely demise of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sudhakar Pathare in a tragic road accident in Telangana today.
The statement said, “DCP Pathare was a dedicated officer who served the police force with commitment and honesty. His contribution in the Mumbai Port Zone and his contribution in his earlier works is invaluable. His sudden departure has created a deep void in our rank.
