Two police officers of Andhra Pradesh died, the car of officers going from Vijayawada to Hyderabad collides with divider

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Sanjay Kumar and many others have mourned the death of both officials in the accident.

Hyderabad/Amaravati: On Saturday, two DSPs of Andhra Pradesh Police were killed and several injured in a car accident near Hyderabad. Police officers were going from Vijayawada to Hyderabad on official duty at the time of the accident. The accident occurred in Chautupal, about 50 km from Hyderabad. It is said that the driver of the vehicle moving forward suddenly applied the brake, due to which the driver of the police officer coming from behind turned his vehicle to the other side to avoid the collision when the officer’s car collided with the divider. Police said that after hitting the divider, the car overturned on the other side of the road and a vehicle coming from the front hit him fiercely.

Chief Minister expressed grief over the accident

In the accident, two policemen (DSPs), who worked at the intelligence branch of the Andhra Pradesh Police, died on the spot, while an additional Superintendent of Police and the driver were injured. A police officer told reporters that the officers were traveling in a separate car. He told that both DSP Chakradhar Rao and Santha Rao died on the spot. He said that Santha Rao was handed over duty related to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s departure from Hyderabad Airport to Singapore. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Sanjay Kumar and many others have mourned the death of both officials in the accident.

Accident occurred in Chautupal Mandal’s Sitapuram village

Naidu said in a post on X that it is unfortunate that two DSP Chakradhar Rao and Santa Rao, who were working in the security branch, were killed in an accident in Saithapuram village of Chautupal Mandal in Yadadri district. Naidu further said that I have deep condolences to his family members and I pray to God for the peace of his soul. Expressing grief over the death of the DSP, Minister Sanjay Kumar wished the people injured in the accident to get well soon. Condoling the death of police officers, Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Anita Wangalapudi said that the government will take steps to provide advanced medical facilities to the injured. In a post on X, he said that the government is standing with the families of the dead police officers. Former Andhra CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has also mourned the death of two police officers.
