In the excise policy, a license for composite shops will also be issued for the first time in the state, which will have the facility to sell foreign liquor, beer and wine simultaneously. But drinking alcohol will not be allowed at these shops.
Target to raise revenue of 55 thousand crore rupees
It is known that in the new policy, the government has set a target of raising revenue of 55 thousand crore rupees, which is 4 thousand crore rupees more than the last financial year. At the same time, renewal fee of license of premium retail shops has been kept at Rs 25 lakh annually. Like last year, the license fee has been kept unchanged. No person, firm, company will be able to take more than two licenses. The quantity of foreign liquor has been determined. Now 60 and 90 mL will also get foreign liquor.
Excise policy was approved on Wednesday in the cabinet meeting. Under this, it will not be allowed to open a premium brand shops in the multiplex area of the malls. For the first time, the sale of 60 mL and 90 mL bottles of foreign liquor has also been allowed. Purchases of more liquor than the boundary limit for private use , The provision of personal home license has been simplified to keep transportation and private possession.
The annual fee for license will be Rs 11 thousand and security will be Rs 11 thousand. The license will be available only to those who will be income tax payers continuously for three years. In the new policy, the native liquor will be made available for sale in the aseptic brick pack. Using it ends the possibility of adulteration of alcohol.
