LUCKNOW: Under the leadership of the Yogi government, Uttar Pradesh is going to become a textile hub. Where the state will develop due to the hub, there will also be opportunities for employment. Yogi intention is that the youth here get jobs in their state, so that they can live a happy life with the family. In this connection, ‘PM Mitra Yojana’ is going to be launched in Lucknow. Under this scheme, a grand investors’ meat was organized in Lucknow on Saturday (March 22) for the establishment of the proposed mega textile and apparel park on one thousand acres on the Lucknow-Hardoi border.
210 crore incentives distributed to 80 investors
During this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed an incentive of Rs 210 crore to 80 investors investing in the state’s textile industry. Also, two mUs worth Rs 700 crore were signed for PM Mitra Park. CM Yogi said that this park will establish Uttar Pradesh as a textile hub and create more than 50 thousand new jobs. He said that the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi made Surat in Gujarat a textile hub and now seven PM Mitra Parks have been approved to implement this vision across the country, one of which is in Lucknow. It is the only PM Mitra Park in the country which is being established in the capital of a state.
UP is the largest consumer market in the country: Yogi
CM Yogi made investors realize the power of Uttar Pradesh and said that this state with a population of 25 crores is the largest consumer market in the country. He said that a large population of not only Uttar Pradesh, but also Nepal, Bhutan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand depends on UP for its needs. Clothing is one of the three basic requirements of life. CM Yogi said that PM Mitra Park will provide weaving, dyeing, printing, designing and packaging at the same place, which will help in fulfilling market demand.

He assured the investors that the park would realize the infinite possibilities of the textile industry. During which Amar Kulsiyan (9 Limited) of Gorakhpur and Rajat Jaipuria (Rajalakshmi) of Gautam Buddha Nagar were honored on the stage. In this Investors Meet, two mUs worth Rs 700 crore were signed for PM Mitra Park. CM Yogi said that we have signed more than 1,000 MoUs, out of which 225 ground braking will be soon.
Describing the ancient textile heritage of Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi said that the more ancient civilization is, the more the possibilities of textile will be. Ancient city like Kashi and Ayodhya was not only spiritual centers, but also the basis of prosperity. He told that Kashi, Bhadohi and Mirzapur are famous for silk and carpet. The saree of Varanasi is the pride of every Indian family. Ayodhya and Ambedkar Nagar are known for handloom. Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Azamgarh, Mubarakpur and Mau also have a rich history of textiles.
Two new leather parks will be built in the name of Sant Ravidas
Said that Chikankari of Lucknow has been flourishing from house to house for hundreds of years. The Chief Minister said that the One District One Product Scheme encouraged these traditional industries, as a result of which there is no shortage of orders today. CM Yogi announced that apart from PM Mitra Park, the state government will set up 10 new textile parks in the name of Sant Kabir Das. Also, two new leather parks will be developed in the name of Sant Ravidas.
During this, Cabinet Minister Rakesh Sachan, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, Additional Secretary Textile Industry Bharat Sarkar Rohit Kansal, Principal Secretary Handloom and Textile Industry Anil Kumar Sagar, CII President Dr. Upasana Arora etc. were present.
