Vantara Zoological Rescue Clean Chit: SIT headed by former Supreme Court judge J Chelameswar has given a clean chit to Gujarat’s zoological rescue and rehabilitation center Vantara.
Vantara Zoological Rescue Clean Chit : Vantara, who is present in Jamnagar, Gujarat, is constantly being questioned. Many people believe that animals are being ignored in Vantara. But SIT has rejected all these allegations and has given it a clean chit. The SIT, headed by former Supreme Court Judge J Chelameswar, had presented a report in the Supreme Court, after which this decision has been revealed.

SIT headed by former Supreme Court judge Justice J Chelameswar has given a clean chit. However, Justice Pankaj Mithil and Justice P.B. Varale’s bench took the report in his record. This report was presented on Friday and the Supreme Court visited it on Monday.
What is the whole matter?
The Supreme Court had formed a 4 -member SIT under the chairmanship of the former judge, while hearing two public interest petitions alleging irregularities against Vanatara present in Gujarat based on social media and media reports and several complaints from government organizations and wildlife organizations. In view of this allegation, the Supreme Court said that inviting the answer from the private defendant or any other side will not benefit any special benefit.
Order for investigation
Since receiving the complaint, the Supreme Court had directed SIT to bring animals, especially elephants from India and abroad, to protect animals and follow the rules made for zoos under it, to examine the international agreement, import-export laws and many things related to the import and export of living animals on the business of fading species of flora and fauna and submit their reports.
