Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned from his post during his tenure among Parliament. During this, he left the post citing his health. He has become the third Vice President to do so. Even before this, two Vice Presidents have done this. Since his resignation, the opposition has been continuously questioning the ruling, while on the other hand the BJP is churning about the new face. His resignation has created a stir in the political corridors.
Opposition raised questions

Opposition leaders said that if the health was the reason, then why was the resignation not resigned before the monsoon session started? Along with this, Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh, Pramod Tiwari and Akhilesh Prasad Singh say that they had met Dhankar by evening on the day of the session and then they looked absolutely healthy. Not only this, he had talked on the phone till 7:30 pm. In such a situation, this resignation has been done only due to health reasons, the opposition is not digesting it.
Dhankhar was going to visit
Let us tell you here that Dhankhar was also going to visit Jaipur on 23 July. He had already given information about this through a press release. The tour was not even canceled, which makes it clear that the resignation has not been taken suddenly. Some leaders also say that it can be a sign of an internal conflict or big political decisions.

Resign of these two Vice Presidents before this
Significantly, VV Giri, the first VV Giri of Jagdeep Dhankhar, also resigned as Vice President. He took over as the acting President after the death of the then President Zakir Hussain and resigned as Vice President on 2 July 1969 and contested the President. The first Vice President VV was falling to not complete his term.

At the same time, Bhairon Singh Shekhawat also resigned from his post, which was due to the defeat in the presidential election against Congress -led UPA candidate Pratibha Patil. On July 21, 2007, he resigned as Vice President. After the resignation of Bheron Singh Shekhawat, the post of Vice President was vacant for 21 days. After this, Mohammad Hamid Ansari was selected for this post.
