BJP Leader Vijay Malhotra Dies : Delhi’s well -known leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra has passed away. He made a significant contribution to the expansion of the ideology of the Sangh in the capital from the Jana Sangh period itself and from the Jana Sangh period itself. The current president Virendra Sachdeva informed about his death. There is a wave of mourning in the party due to his death. Regarding this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also posted on the social media platform X and paid tribute to him. He was undergoing treatment at AIIMS for the last few days, after which he breathed his last this morning.

Who was Vijay Malhotra?
Please tell here that Vijay Kumar Malhotra was born on 3 December 1931 in Lahore. He was the fourth of the 7 children of Kaviraj Khajan Chand. He will be remembered as an Indian politician and sports administrator. Malhotra was elected as the President of Delhi Pradesh Jana Sangh (1972–75) and twice as the state president of Delhi BJP (1977-80, 1980-84).

Significantly, Vijay Kumar Malhotra had a long way in active politics. He is credited with saving BJP in Delhi for many years with Kedarnath Sahni and Madanlal Khurana. His biggest political victory was won in the 1999 Lok Sabha elections after defeating former Prime Minister of the country from South Delhi seat by a huge margin.

It is also worth noting that Malhotra was a 5 -time MP from Delhi and 2 times MLA from Delhi in the last 45 years. He was the only BJP candidate to win his seat in Delhi in the 2024 general election. In his entire career, Malhotra enhanced with the image of a impeccable and clean leader. Malhotra received a doctoral degree in Hindi literature. Apart from politics and social work, he was also involved in the administration of chess and archery clubs in Delhi.
