Bihar First Phase Voting 2025: The first phase of Bihar assembly elections is today on 6th November. The voting process has started on 121 seats in 18 districts of Bihar. A total of 3 crore 75 lakh 13 thousand 302 voters will exercise their franchise. Today, PM Modi has made a special appeal to the people of Bihar and said – first vote and then have refreshments. In this first phase of voting, there is a tough contest between the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Grand Alliance (MGB). At the same time, many new and regional parties are also trying their luck in the electoral field.

1,314 fate will be decided

In this phase, voting is taking place in 18 districts of Bihar, in which voting will be held on 121 assembly seats of Patna, Nalanda, Bhojpur, Buxar, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Begusarai, Khagaria, Munger, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Saharsa, Madhepura, Siwan, Gopalganj, Saran, Vaishali and Samastipur. There are 1,314 candidates in the fray for these seats, of which 1,192 are male and 122 female candidates.

Main political parties and alliances

The main fight in Bihar elections is between NDA and Grand Alliance. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal United (JDU), Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) (LJP-R) are contesting from the NDA side. At the same time, the Grand Alliance (MGB) includes Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) and Left parties.

Apart from this, Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraj Party, Tej Pratap Yadav’s Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD), Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), AIMIM, Chandrashekhar Azad’s Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) and Swami Prasad Maurya’s Rashtriya Shoshit Samaj Party are also trying their luck on some seats.
