Andhra Pradesh Stampede Update : 10 people have died and many have been injured in the stampede at Venkateshwara temple in Andhra Pradesh. This stampede happened due to the huge crowd in the temple on the occasion of Devuthani Ekadashi. Women, elderly and youth were also among those killed in the stampede. When this incident was investigated, it was found that the temple management or organizers had not taken any permission from the state government or local administration for this event. But now many different rumors are coming out regarding this incident as to what caused this stampede.
Attention will have to be paid to these things related to stampede
Andhra Pradesh Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy says that the capacity of Venkateswara Swamy temple is only 2,000 to 3,000 people, but due to Ekadashi, about 25,000 people had reached there.
He also said that this is a private temple which has been built by a person named Hari Mukund Panda with his own money on 12 acres of land.
Let us tell you that DSP Laxman Rao, in-charge of Kashibugga sub-division of Andhra Pradesh, said that the stampede took place in Venkateswara temple around 11.30 in the morning.
It is believed that the dead include 8 women and a child and the age of the women who died is said to be between 35 to 40 years.
Today, on the occasion of Ekadashi and Kartik month, the crowd has suddenly increased due to which a stampede has occurred here.
Entry and Exit Point spoiled the game
Let us tell you here that there was a huge crowd of devotees at the place where the stampede took place. That part of the temple was also under construction. Soil, stones, pits and iron rods were lying open there. People who were present there told that people were moving forward for darshan, then someone’s foot slipped, some people fell and the crowd coming from behind went out of control. The debris of construction work and the narrow road became the major reason for the stampede. The biggest reason for this accident was only one entry and exit point. The movement of devotees was happening through the same gate and route, due to which there was chaos.
CM Chandrababu Naidu gave strict instructions
CM Chandrababu Naidu has expressed grief over the incident by posting on the social media platform regarding the incident of stampede. Along with this, he has requested the officials and public representatives to visit the incident site and inspect the relief works. He has also given instructions regarding the injured.
