He said that this victory is also special because at one time the Indian team had to face defeat in three consecutive matches and at that time it seemed that this time Team India would soon be out of the tournament. After this, Team India made a brilliant comeback by defeating New Zealand and made it to the semi-finals and then confirmed its place in the finals by defeating seven-time champion Australia in the semi-finals.
Did not get a chance after performing brilliantly in first class
The head coach said that there is no doubt that when we have won the World Cup, the contribution of the players and support staff is important. Majumdar further said that everyone has contributed and many players have performed brilliantly. This victory is not just for the players and support staff but for every Indian. Let us tell you that after scoring more than 11 thousand runs with 30 centuries and 60 half-centuries in 171 first-class matches in his illustrious domestic career, Majumdar did not get a chance to play for the Indian team.
