IMD Alert During Monsoon : The Meteorological Department has issued rain alert for the month of August. Due to continuous heavy rains, the situation is getting worse in many states. In such a situation, IMD has feared heavy rains along with thunderstorms in many states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh. Today, Delhi will be cloudy and light rain comes with lightning. During this time the maximum temperature can be 34 and the minimum temperature can be 24 degrees.
Rain in UP today
Today i.e. on August 1, there may be heavy rains in the western areas of UP. These include Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur and around Bareilly. At the same time, hundreds of villages have been drowned in floods in many districts near rivers in Madhya Pradesh. In Gwalior-Chambal zone, the Kota Barrage of Rajasthan, the water being released from Nunar Dam is increasing in the Chambal river, which is being seen in the surrounding areas.

Mountains worsening
A warning has also been issued regarding the hilly states. Due to heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh, the water of Beas river has entered houses and shops in the Bahang region of Manali and the risk of floods has increased even more. At the same time, IMD has issued alert for heavy rain in Kangra, Mandi, Kullu, Shimla and Sirmaur districts.
Kedarnath Yatra also affected
At the same time, due to heavy rains and thunderstorms, the danger of landslides in Uttarakhand has increased, due to which Kedarnath Yatra remained postponed for the second day. NDRF and SDRF have taken out more than 1100 passengers safely. At the same time, more than 5 thousand passengers were stopped in Sonprayag itself.
