Woman Electrocuted to Death: A woman died of electrocution in Mahipalpur, south-west Delhi. This current was applied to the immersion rod that heats the water. A 23-year-old woman from Manipur died of electrocution while heating water in her house with an electric rod, police said. A call was received about the incident at 8.19 pm on Sunday night. When a police team reached the spot, they found the woman lying unconscious in her bathroom, with an electric rod in her hand.

“Preliminary inquiries revealed that the deceased had gone to take a bath and used an immersion rod to heat the water. When she did not come out for a long time, her neighbor went to check on her, but the door was locked from inside. After this, she called the police,” the officer said. The crime team inspected the spot and the body was kept in the mortuary of Safdarjung Hospital for postmortem. Police said that it seems to be a case of electric shock and there is no suspicion of any foul play as of now.

Death due to electric shock in Deoria also

A woman died due to electrocution while heating water in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. 65 year old Malti Devi was heating water with a rod for bathing. At that very moment she got electrocuted and fell unconscious. There was no one at home at that time. When the neighbor came into the house he called the police. The woman was taken to the hospital, but by then she had died.

Immersion rod is very dangerous

Every year during the winter season, such news comes to light in which people die due to electric shock from immersion rods used to heat water. Immersion rods are most commonly used in middle class homes, but this cheap cold-protecting rod is very dangerous. If you also use it, then keep in mind that before removing the rod, turn off the switch and never touch the rod with wet hands. If there are children in your house, then heat water at a place where children do not go.
