PM Narendra Modi News: PM Modi remembered the life struggle of late Bharatiya Janata Party leader VK Malhotra. He said that he was an organizer and had never broken contact with the workers.
PM Narendra Modi News : Recalling senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader VK Malhotra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday described him as an outstanding organizer and institution producer. He said that the election equation and organizational politics achieved equally success in the world. PM Modi wrote in a blog of his website that Malhotra died last week. He provided stable leadership to the Jana Sangh and BJP’s Delhi unit. The Prime Minister said that VK Malhotra remained as a permanent personality in public life and very few leaders can claim so long and unwavering public engagement.
Granted a stable leadership to Delhi unit
Prime Minister Modi said that Malhotra had an amazing ability to work equally in electoral and organizational politics. This is the reason why he gave a stable leadership to the Jana Sangh and BJP’s Delhi unit. Modi said that by taking a look at his life, everyone worked with deep commitment on the basic principles of RSS, Jana Sangh and BJP. The Prime Minister remembered the 1999 Lok Sabha elections when Malhotra defeated Congress leader and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh from South Delhi constituency. Modi said that this was a high profile election, where he faced an important Congress leader. The entire strength of the Congress had landed in his area, but even after this, Malhotra did not feel weak in electoral politics. After this, when the results of the election came out, he defeated Manmohan Singh ji.
Voice raised against the government during the Emergency
PM Modi said that Malhotra was skilled in having a close relationship with the workers and understanding the aspirations of the voters. Apart from this, Modi recalled his contribution to the cow protection movement in the 1960s and said that Malhotra used to raise the voice of the public, not mute spectators. During this time, he also had to face many problems, which mainly had excesses of the police. Apart from this, he also worked to raise the voice of the public against the Emergency and played an active role in the movement of that time. When the Sikhs were brutally being slaughtered on the streets of Delhi, they were the voice of peace and harmony and stood firmly with the Sikh community.
