Strict action ordered against land mafia, Yogi warned

CM Yogi Adityanath: Yogi personally met the people sitting outside Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan. Took their applications and instructed the officials to take immediate action.

CM Yogi Adityanath: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday performed ‘Janata Darshan’ at Gorakhnath temple and performed Govardhan Puja. During the ‘Janata Darshan’ program, Adityanath interacted with around 300 people and listened to their complaints patiently. CM Yogi directed the officials to ensure prompt, fair and satisfactory resolution of these complaints. Chief Minister Yogi personally met the people sitting outside Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan. Took their applications and instructed the officials to take immediate action. Adityanath said that every issue should be resolved in a timely and fair manner. On complaints related to land grabbing, he ordered strict action against land mafia. Warned that no one should be allowed to harass or displace the poor.

CM performed Govardhan Puja

He said that wherever illegal encroachment is found, strict action should be taken. Assuring help in medical aid, he said that lack of funds will not become a hindrance in anyone’s treatment. He directed the officials to immediately prepare the estimates for treatment. Yogi promised immediate financial assistance from the government as soon as the estimate was received. The Chief Minister, who is also Gorakshpeethadhishwar, performed Govardhan Puja in the cow shed of the temple. Amidst the Vedic chanting, he performed rituals, garlanded the cows, applied tilak and sought the blessings of Mother Cow for the prosperity of the state. After the puja, Adityanath greeted the citizens, farmers and cattle herders on this occasion. Said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is running many innovative schemes for the conservation and welfare of cattle.

16 lakh cattle are being looked after

He said that about 16 lakh cattle are being taken care of with the help of the state. The chief minister outlined three key initiatives: Rs 1,500 per month for each stray cow in shelters, up to Rs 6,000 per month for farmers adopting four cattle under the participatory scheme and a special program to provide cows to malnourished mothers and children along with monthly assistance. He said that these schemes have helped families move from malnutrition to nutrition. Throwing light on Govardhan Yojana, he said that it empowers farmers through biogas and ethanol production. Also supports green energy and economic development.
