Purnia Triple Death: The first phase of voting is going to be held in Bihar tomorrow. Even before that, a sensation has spread in Purnia, Bihar. Three deaths have occurred simultaneously in the house of JDU candidate from Purnia. JDU leader Niranjan Kushwaha’s elder brother Naveen Kushwaha, his wife and daughter were found dead in their house. Police gave this information on Wednesday. A senior official said that the bodies were recovered from their house in European Colony under Kehat police station area on Tuesday night.
Deceased Naveen Kushwaha was popular leader
Purnia Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Jyoti Shankar said that the deceased have been identified as Naveen Kushwaha, his wife Mala Devi and daughter Tanu Priya. The SDPO said, “As soon as information was received about the dead body being found in the house, a police team reached the spot. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem to find out the exact cause of death.” He said that forensic experts are collecting evidence from the spot and investigation into the case is going on. The local people claimed that Naveen Kushwaha was very popular in the area and had earlier contested the Lok Sabha as well as the Assembly elections.
Pappu Yadav demanded investigation
On receiving information about the incident, Purnia MP Pappu Yadav also reached the hospital and met the family members. He demanded an impartial investigation into the death of the three so that the families can get justice. He further said, “I am confident that the post-mortem report will reveal what actually happened. I want the district administration to conduct a thorough investigation and find out what happened. I would not call it a natural death. It is a suspicious case.”

Statement of Niranjan Kushwaha
Niranjan Kushwaha, brother of the deceased, has described these three deaths as accidents. He said that his niece Tanu Priya fell from the stairs. To save him, his brother Naveen also ran from behind and fell down the stairs. Seeing her husband and daughter, her sister-in-law was deeply shocked and she also died. All three were taken to the hospital, where doctors declared them dead.
