Bihar Election Hot Seats 2025: The first phase of Bihar assembly elections is today on 6th November. The voting process has started on 121 seats in 18 districts of Bihar. A total of 3 crore 75 lakh 13 thousand 302 voters will exercise their franchise and decide the fate of 1314 candidates. There is a tough contest between the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Grand Alliance (MGB) in the first phase of voting. At the same time, many new and regional parties are also trying their luck in the electoral field. This time many new faces and new equations have been seen in Bihar elections. Tarapur: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary is contesting on this seat. RJD has fielded Arun Kumar Sah against him from here. Santosh Kumar Singh of Jan Suraj and Sukhdev Yadav of Tej Pratap Yadav’s Janashakti Janata Dal are also contesting the elections.
Raghopur: Grand Alliance Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav is contesting from this seat for the third time. This seat is considered to be the seat of Lalu family. Tejashwi has been elected MLA here for two consecutive times, in 2015 and 2020. In 2025, NDA’s Satish Yadav is contesting him while Jansuraj’s Chanchal Kumar is also contesting from this seat.
This seat is considered to be the stronghold of strong leader Anant Singh. This seat is in discussion after the murder of Jansuraj supporter Dularchand Yadav. From here, Anant Singh is contesting on JDU ticket, while Surajbhan Singh’s wife Veena Devi is contesting on RJD ticket.
Alinagar: Alinagar seat is in the news because BJP has fielded folk singer Maithili Thakur for the first time. Maithili Thakur is starting her political innings from here. RJD’s Vinod Mishra is giving him competition from Alinagar.
Chhapra: Chhapra seat is one of the hot seats of Bihar. This time RJD has fielded Bhojpuri actor and singer Khesari Lal Yadav. BJP’s Chhoti Kumari and independent Rakhi Gupta are contesting against Khesari from here.
State Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has been representing Lakhisarai assembly seat continuously since 2010. In the 2020 elections, he defeated Congress candidate Amresh Kumar. This time too the same candidates are face to face, due to which the contest has become interesting again.
Mahua: After being thrown out of the party and family by Lalu Yadav, Tej Pratap Yadav is again contesting from Mahua. He is pitted against RJD’s sitting MLA Mukesh Roshan, while NDA’s LJP candidate Sanjay Kumar has been fielded against Tej Pratap.
Begusarai: Begusarai seat, which was once the center of leftist politics, went into the hands of BJP in 2020. This time BJP has made Kundan Kumar its candidate, who is facing Congress’s Amita Bhushan.
karakatKarakat seat is in the headlines due to Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh’s wife Jyoti Singh contesting the elections. Due to the controversies related to Pawan Singh, this area is attracting special attention and the contest is becoming increasingly interesting.
Potter: Kumhrar seat of Patna has been a stronghold of BJP for a long time. After the ticket of five-time MLA Arun Kumar Sinha was rejected, the party has given a chance to Sanjay Kumar Gupta.
