Two Terrorist Killed in JK Kupwara: Indian Army has foiled an infiltration plot in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. Army killed two terrorists in the encounter. On November 7, agencies received input about infiltration in Kupwara, after which a joint operation was conducted. Officials said on Saturday that the Army foiled an infiltration attempt and killed two unidentified terrorists on the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Two terrorists killed in Operation Pimple
Army’s Srinagar-based Chinar Corps said that after receiving specific intelligence from agencies about an infiltration attempt, an operation was launched in Keran sector of Kupwara on Friday. “Alert troops observed suspicious activity and challenged them, following which the terrorists started firing indiscriminately. In the ongoing operation, security forces have killed two terrorists. Search operations are underway in the area,” the Army said in a post on Twitter. The army has named this operation Operation Pimple, which is still going on.

three suspects arrested
Meanwhile, police also arrested three suspects in Srinagar on Friday. Arms and ammunition were seized from the suspects. A police spokesperson said that routine vehicle checking was going on near Mamta Chowk, Konakhan Dal Gate, when a police team stopped a black motorcycle without registration number. When signaled to stop, the motorcyclist and two people sitting behind tried to run away, but alert police officers immediately caught them.
Army on high alert
Earlier on Wednesday, November 5, there was an encounter between terrorists and the army in Kistwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. According to officials, after getting information about the presence of terrorists, Jammu and Kashmir Police helped the Army. As part of the joint operation, a search operation started in Chattaru area. Vigilant soldiers of White Knight Corps surrounded the terrorists in Chhatru area. After this there was firing from both sides. Terrorist infiltration and activities are increasing again in Jammu and Kashmir, although security forces are on high alert to counter it.
