Patna Dangerous Ghats: The great festival Chhath of Bihar has started from today. Today is the first day of Nahay Khay. In such a situation, preparations for Chhath have intensified. The government has made arrangements for Chhath security and cleanliness at the ghats across Bihar. Chhath devotees go to the ghat in advance and make preparations. Patna District Administration wrote on X, On the occasion of Chhath Mahaparva, 2025, the District Administration, Patna has released a list of 6 dangerous and 7 unsuitable ghats from the administrative point of view of Patna Municipal Corporation area. These ghats have been surrounded with red color and magistrates and police officials have been deputed here. For public safety, the District Administration, Patna appeals to the people not to go towards these dangerous ghats.

Chhath festival starts from today
Let us tell you that Chhath is a four-day long festival, which has started from today. Today i.e. the first day of Chhath, Nahay-Khay is celebrated. On this day, devotees take bath in Ganga and eat satvik food. The fasting person prepares gram dal, rice and bottle gourd vegetable and eats it. Kharna takes place the next day, which is tomorrow on Sunday. On this day, devotees observe fast for the whole day and worship Chhathi Maiya in the evening. After this, kheer and roti prasad are eaten. Evening Arghya is performed the next day. On this day also the devotees observe Nirjala fast. In the evening, standing in water, an offering of milk and water is offered to the sinking Surat. Next morning, the devotees offer Arghya to the rising sun at the ghat and with this the Chhath fast ends. After this the fast is broken by eating Prasad.
