LJP(Ram Vilas): Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has called an emergency meeting to finalize the party’s strategy regarding seat distribution for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. He made it clear that there are no differences within the NDA on this issue. Speaking to journalists in Khagaria on Wednesday, Chirag said that the news spread about me based on sources is completely false and baseless. I am not angry with anyone. The issue of seat sharing in NDA will be finalized soon. However, the party has called an urgent meeting of its leaders in Patna on Thursday to discuss election-related issues and finalize the party strategy. The assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, while the counting of votes will take place on November 14.

Not a fight for seats, but to loot Bihar: Jan Suraj

Party leaders have also denied the news of Prashant Kishor’s possible alliance with Jan Suraj. Prashant Kishor has also denied any such agreement. He said that this is not a fight for seats. There is a fight to loot Bihar. Every party wants to get more seats so that they can loot Bihar more. We have no alliance with any political party. Our alliance is with the people. He denied reports of a possible alliance between Jan Suraj and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas). The discord over seat sharing among the ruling NDA allies in Bihar came to the fore on Wednesday, even as the BJP, which held a marathon meeting of its leaders on the issue, claimed all is well in the alliance. Union minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi said he was requesting, not claiming, that his party be given a respectable number of seats. He warned that if his demand was ignored then we would not contest the elections.

Manjhi’s objective is to get the party recognized

Manjhi had told reporters that if we are not given at least 15 seats in the assembly elections, it will be humiliating for me and my party. If we get 15 seats, we can easily win at least 8-9 seats and become a recognized party. Even after 10 years of its establishment, HAM remains an unrecognized party. I have been helping NDA for a long time. That’s why I am requesting the NDA leaders, not making any claims. If we do not get a respectable number of seats, my party would prefer not to contest the elections. But, let me make it clear that even if we do not contest elections, our party will continue to work for our NDA allies.

BJP’s parliamentary board will take the final decision

On the other hand, senior BJP leaders including Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and National General Secretary Vinod Tawde met party officials in Patna on Wednesday to discuss seat sharing and finalize the list of candidates. After the meeting, BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal said that everything is fine within the NDA. The final decision regarding seat sharing and candidates will be taken in the party’s parliamentary board meeting. According to NDA sources, JD(U) and BJP can contest elections on 102 and 101 seats respectively. Chirag’s party, which had earlier compromised on around 20-22 seats, is now asking for at least 25 more seats. A senior party leader, on the condition of anonymity, said that senior party leaders believe that the party should get at least 45 seats.
