Congress never disappears: Ramesh Chennithala

Congress News: After the defeat in Bihar elections, there is a lot of disappointment in the Grand Alliance. Meanwhile, a Congress leader said to leave negativity and adopt a fighting spirit.

Congress News : The grand alliance including Congress has suffered a major setback in the Bihar assembly elections. Despite being out of power in the state for 20 years, its performance this time has been much worse than in the last assembly elections. Meanwhile, senior Congress leader and Maharashtra in-charge Ramesh Chennithala gave a statement on Saturday. He said that Congress has never disappeared and its relevance will remain despite electoral setbacks. Maharashtra in-charge said that defeat is nothing new for him. Even during the era of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, Congress had to face defeat, but it came back even stronger.

We should not cry, but fight

Ramesh Chennithala said that Congress is an ideology and people still believe in it. The claim that Congress will end or disintegrate… is completely meaningless. Maharashtra Congress President Harshvardhan Sapkal, Mumbai party chief and MP Varsha Gaikwad also attended the party meeting here regarding the disappointing performance of the Grand Alliance in Bihar elections. Sapkal urged Congress workers not to be disappointed by the results of Bihar. Chennithala said that if the results had been different, the excitement would have been greater. But no one needs to lose courage yet. Congress workers should enter the field with new energy. We should not cry, but fight.

Adopt fighting spirit: Congress

He appealed to prepare with full strength for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. Apart from this, Congress has an ideology and works on the same principles. It is guided by the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, who is working to promote the message of Quit Hate, Quit India and is running a campaign for a fear-free society. Sapkal further said that it is Rahul Gandhi’s dream to protect and strengthen the Constitution. Winning and losing is a part of elections, but we cannot stop our work just because we are out of power. The Congress leader told to give up negativity and adopt a fighting spirit. Elections to municipal corporations in the state, including BMC in Mumbai, are expected to be held in January 2026.
