This information was also given in the opening credits of the theatrical version of the film. Usually, OTT release of big films happens 6 to 8 weeks after the theatrical release. In such a situation, it is expected that ‘Dhurandhar’ will be streamed on Netflix between January 16 and January 30, 2026. However, the official release date of ‘Dhurandhar’ has not been announced yet by the makers or the platform.
story of the film
Inspired by real life incidents, ‘Dhurandhar’ shows the story of ‘Mission Dhurandhar’, one of India’s first major spy operations. Following the 2001 Parliament attack, Intelligence Bureau Director Ajay Sanyal (R. Madhavan) assigns RAW agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi alias Hamza Ali Mazaar (Ranveer Singh) the task of infiltrating gangster Rehman Dacoit’s (Akshaye Khanna) gang in Karachi, Pakistan. During the mission, Hamza gradually becomes Rahman’s confidant and reaches the streets of politics. In this journey, he also encounters ISI agent Major Iqbal (Arjun Rampal) and SP Chaudhary Aslam (Sanjay Dutt).
