The SIT, which is probing vote theft in Aland assembly constituency in the 2023 assembly elections in Karnataka, has filed a charge sheet against seven people, including a former BJP MLA, his son and his close aide. The charge sheet filed by the Special Investigation Team before the First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Bengaluru mentions efforts to remove the names of 5,994 voters. Apart from this, involvement of Bapi Aadya of West Bengal has also been found in this case. Aadya was the first person to be arrested in this case.
