Many passengers were injured
According to initial information, the fire started due to short circuit. Many businessmen from Ludhiana were also traveling in it. During this, the loco pilot showed wisdom and stopped the train by applying emergency brakes. In such a situation, the passengers in the bogie got down immediately with their luggage and there was no loss of life. There was chaos while getting down from the train and many passengers got injured. As soon as the information was received, railway and police teams reached the spot and the fire was brought under control.

The train will leave soon
Officials said that after controlling the fire, the condition of the train is being inspected. After investigation of the compartment in which the fire broke out, the train will soon be sent towards its destination Saharsa. Railway Protection Force (RPF) and GRP teams have taken the entire area under security cover and all necessary facilities are being provided to the passengers.

Posting on this, he wrote that a coach of train number 12204 (Amritsar-Saharsa) caught fire at Sirhind station at 7:30 am today. Railway employees immediately took all the passengers to a safe place and extinguished the fire. There has been no news of any casualties. The affected coach has been isolated and investigation is underway.
