The government believes that these decisions will provide new strength to the urban infrastructure and improve the standard of living of crores of people. The government has taken an important decision for the disabled. New District Disabled Rehabilitation Centers (DDRC) will be opened in all 18 divisions of the state. At present such centers are running in 38 districts of the state. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that with the opening of the new DDRC, facilities like survey, identification, camps, assistive devices, artificial limb fitment and training will be easily available to the disabled people in the state at one place. Along with this, clinical services like physiotherapy, speech therapy will also be provided at these centres. Now people will not have to make many rounds in getting important documents like UDID card and disability certificate made.

World class ‘Temple Museum’ to be built in Ayodhya

Yogi government has taken a big step towards developing Ayodhya as a cultural and spiritual destination globally. The Cabinet, in collaboration with Tata Sons, has further expanded the scope of the proposed world class ‘Temple Museum’ in Ayodhya. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that Tata Sons has expressed its desire to develop and operate a state-of-the-art temple museum from its CSR funds. After the completion of the world class temple museum, Ayodhya will not only get a new cultural identity but will also generate direct and indirect employment on a large scale. The Uttar Pradesh government has also given big relief to the international medal winning players of the state. Now the entire period of participation of players in national and international sports competitions, training camps and related activities will be considered as ‘duty’. With this decision, the difficulties faced by players in getting permission will end. Under the decision, Varanasi’s Sampurnanand Sports Stadium will now be operated by the Sports Authority of India (SAI).

Varanasi will become a major center of sports

Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that after the creation of the National Center of Excellence, the emerging players of the state will get a bigger platform. Talented players of different age groups and sports disciplines will be identified and they will be provided high level training for national and international competitions. The government believes that this initiative will increase the prospects of both employment and sports career in the future for the players. Also, Varanasi will emerge as one of the major sports centers of the country. The Cabinet has approved two big drinking water projects worth more than Rs 580 crore in Bareilly and Kanpur. Lakhs of people will benefit from this. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that under the Atal Renovation and Urban Transformation Mission-Amrit 2.0, a total of projects worth Rs 582.74 crore have been approved for improving drinking water supply and expanding the network in Bareilly and Kanpur Municipal Corporation areas. Now people will be able to get clean drinking water.

Bareilly and Kanpur people will get pure water

Phase-1 restructuring project to redevelop the drinking water system in Bareilly Municipal Corporation has received approval of Rs 26,595.46 lakh. This includes the Government of India’s share of Rs 8,530.96 lakh, the State Government’s share of Rs 14,504.95 lakh and the Municipal Corporation’s share of Rs 2,559.55 lakh. After completion of the project, about 9 lakh people in Bareilly will get clean drinking water. The pipeline expansion project has received approval of Rs 31,678.88 lakh to provide pure drinking water to 100% of the population in the East and South Service District of Kanpur Municipal Corporation area. In this, the contribution of the Government of India is Rs 7,610.32 lakh, the share of the State Government is Rs 18,264.77 lakh and the share of the Municipal Corporation is Rs 4,566.19 lakh. The project will directly benefit 33 wards of Kanpur city and will provide clean drinking water to the entire population of the East-South zone.
