The police recovered stolen gold jewelry and other valuables from him.

The accused lost a lot of money

According to the police, Nikhil lived in Kalli area with his family. He was addicted to online gaming. Especially of the “aviator” game hosted on tirangagamee.games, where he lost a lot of money. Police said that to repay the amount borrowed, the accused had taken several app-based loans through platforms like M Pocket, Flash Wallet and RAM Fincorp, accumulating thousands of loans on the accused, including high interest and hidden fees. Nikhil started stealing jewelry from the house after not paying money in installments. DCP (Lucknow South) Nipun Aggarwal told reporters that on October 3, his mother Reshma Yadav caught her red-handed while stealing her jewels, after which there was a fierce debate on both sides and he beat up his mother. After killing his mother, Nikhil also vandalized the house so that it would be robbed. Later he called his father and coined the false story that unknown assailants entered the house and attacked him and his mother.

Police team reward Rs 25,000

DCP (Lucknow South) Aggarwal was accompanied by Additional DCP Ralapalli Vasant Kumar and ACP Rishabh Runwal. Police said that in the postmortem report, many bruises have been found on the victim’s body. According to the police, during interrogation, Nikhil confessed to the murder and said that he took this step when his mother saw him stealing. Aggarwal said that technical surveillance and CCTV footage helped to locate the accused, which initially tried to mislead the police by stating a fabricated version of the crime. The accused has been booked under BNS Section 103 (murder), 238 (eradicating evidence, making false statements to save the culprit) and 315 (dishonesty of the property of the deceased) and further legal action is going on. The Deputy Commissioner of Police gave a reward of Rs 25,000 to the investigation team to successfully resolve the case.
