Yogi Adityanath: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Saturday that India was once struggling with an identity crisis, but is now emerging as a major global power due to strong and visionary leadership. He said that a strong and effective leadership is one that can change the world’s perception about a nation. India has been witness to such leadership for the last 11 years. He was addressing a function organized at Yogiraj Baba Gambhirnath Auditorium. On this occasion, certificates were handed over to about 1,300 students of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University and other technical institutions. He said that before 2014, India was going through an identity crisis due to corruption and falling global image, but under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has successfully created a strong global identity through development and welfare programs.

Youth should pay attention to technologies

He said that initiatives like Startup India, Stand-up India and Digital India have helped the country become the fourth largest economy in the world. He said that this change did not happen overnight, but came about through sustained and coordinated efforts at every level. The Chief Minister urged the youth to focus on innovation and emerging technologies that make life easier. He said that the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes on technology and skill development and if implemented effectively, it can bring transformational change. Encouraging students to develop a problem-solving mindset, he said that many people have developed a habit of blaming the system instead of addressing their shortcomings.

Government is giving tablets and smartphones to the youth

Said that success lies in finding solutions, not in blaming. He said that everyone complains about traffic jams, but many people themselves violate traffic rules. Rules are made for safety and order. If we follow them, there will be no anarchy. Adityanath said that in Uttar Pradesh, about 50-60 percent of the state’s workforce is youth. By getting modern training they can become self-reliant and strengthen the economy. The state government is rapidly implementing the Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme, under which tablets and smartphones are being given to 2 crore youth. Said that the country which focuses on innovation, research and development will emerge as a global superpower.
