He said that if any issue is worth raising then I welcome the uproar created by the opposition. Apart from this, adjourning the proceedings of the House is also a sign of giving space to the opposition. Rijiju further said that Parliament is a platform where people of different ideologies gather to raise the voice of the public. He puts forward his views and his ideology in the Parliament. People from diverse backgrounds come forward on the parliamentary stage and in such a situation, uproar is inevitable.

Freedom of expression is our priority

He said that an important bill like regulating online gaming was passed amidst huge uproar in the monsoon session. Even after this, when opposition parties protest, we welcome it with open heart. In this context, the Minority Minister urged people not to be disappointed by the news of disruptions in Parliament or Parliament not functioning properly. Also, we should not be angry with our present system. He said that you may be disappointed with the results but this is the best system available in the world. Taking aim at the opposition, he said that those who claim that the government is suppressing freedom of expression are also the most vocal on many issues. Taking aim at the opposition, the minister said that the person who keeps protesting the whole day says that freedom of expression is being suppressed. This is a democratic country and freedom of expression is one of the many priorities here.
