Pahalgam Attack Case: NIA has filed a charge sheet in the special court regarding the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Also, the investigating agency has included the names of 6 terrorists including LeT and TRF in the charge sheet.
Pahalgam Attack Case : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday filed a 1,597-page charge sheet in the special court against 6 terrorists including Pakistan’s Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and The Resistance Front (TRF) in the Pahalgam terror attack. Pakistan’s conspiracy, role of the accused and supporting evidence have been clearly mentioned in the charge sheet. In this terrorist attack, 5 tourists and a local pony operator were killed. The investigating agency said that Pakistan is continuously promoting terrorism against India. In the chargesheet, NIA has highlighted Hafiz Saeed-led Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in the attack and this organization has been declared a global terrorist by the US along with India.
The attack was carried out on religious grounds
The name of The Resistance Front (TRF) led by Habibullah Malik alias Sajid Jatt has also been included. This organization has been seriously accused of playing a role in planning, helping and executing the Pahalgam attack that took place in the Baisaran grasslands on April 22. Apart from this, the investigating agency has also issued a statement, in which it has been said that the name of Pakistan handler terrorist Sajid Jatt has also been included in the charge sheet. Apart from this, the charge sheet also contains the names of three Pakistani terrorists who had committed murders on religious grounds on April 22. About 100 days after these deadly terrorist attacks, on July 29, all three were killed by the Army during Operation Mahadev in Dajigam on the outskirts of Srinagar.
Those who sheltered the terrorist were also arrested
NIA’s interrogation revealed that both the men had identified three armed terrorists involved in the attack. These three were identified as Faisal Jatt alias Suleman Shah, Habib Tahir alias Jibran and Hamza Afghani. In its charge sheet, NIA also imposed criminal charges against the accused for waging war against India. The charge sheet was filed after an eight-month long meticulous scientific investigation by the agency. Two accused Parvez Ahmed and Bashir Ahmed Jothar were arrested on charges of harboring terrorists. The investigating agency said that the names of these people have also been included. Apart from this, during interrogation, both the people revealed the identity of the three armed terrorists involved in the attack and also confirmed that they were Pakistani citizens associated with the banned LeT terrorist organization.
