Govt Raises MSP For Crops: Before Deepawali, the central government has given a big gift to the farmers. To benefit them, the MSP of Rabi crops has increased in 2026-27 marketing season. Wheat MSP has been increased by Rs 160 per quintal, after which now the new support price of wheat has now increased to Rs 2585 per quintal. This step has been taken under efforts to promote domestic production and ensure beneficial prices for farmers.
What did the government say
Please tell here that this decision was taken by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The government believes that with this increase, farmers will get encouragement of crop diversification along with the beneficial price of their cost. In the wheat producing states of North India, farmers will get direct benefit.
This crop will benefit the most
It is believed that the increase in prices will also benefit pulses and oilseeds. The government pays more attention to the purchase of crops like wheat and gram. In such a situation, farmers will not have any problem in selling their yields. At the same time, this encouragement is considered to be a step to increase production in lentils and kusum. The biggest increase has been in Kusum i.e. Sunflower MSP, which was increased by Rs 600 per quintal to Rs 6540.

Mustard MSP gained so much
Along with this, MSP of lentils has also increased. It has been increased by Rs 300 to Rs 7000. Apart from this, 250 rupees were increased in mustard-reapseed, Rs 225 in gram, Rs 170 in barley and Rs 160 in wheat. The government claims that this growth is in line with the budget proceeds for the year 2018-19, in which it was said to ensure at least one and a half times the cost price. This time, farmers will get 109 percent higher than the cost on wheat.
Farmers gift before Deepawali
Please tell here that this margin in lentils is 89 percent, 93 percent in mustard-reapse, 59 percent in gram and 58 percent in barley. This increase in the support price of Rabi crops is a news of relief for the farmers. Their income has improved due to increased price.
