Priyanka in Katihar: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is losing the dignity of his post by using words like ‘katta’. Addressing an election rally in Katihar, Bihar, Vadra asserted that Congress was now fighting the same battle that Mahatma Gandhi had once fought against the British imperialists. He said that on one hand the Prime Minister is cheering ‘Vande Mataram’, which is a symbol of non-violence, while on the other hand he is talking about ‘Katta’. He also criticized the NDA government and alleged that it has failed to provide employment to the youth. Said that the public sector undertakings are being handed over to two corporate friends. He claimed that BJP thinks that they will bribe women with Rs 10,000 and get votes. Handing over public property to industrialists
He said that today Congress is fighting the same struggle which Mahatma Gandhi once fought against injustice and divisive policies. At the rally, Priyanka Gandhi accused Modi of handing over all the public undertakings of the country to some of his corporate friends. Said that gradually all the properties of the country are being sold to private hands. Due to which the general public is being harmed. He said that the Prime Minister is handing over public property to a few selected industrialists, while the common people of the country are paying the fare for it. He criticized that the Prime Minister is using words like ‘Katta’, which are meant to instigate people. Priyanka Gandhi said that the dignity of the post of Prime Minister should be taken care of. The person holding this position should follow restraint and decorum. During this rally, Priyanka Gandhi also appealed to the public to support Congress for the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar. Priyanka Gandhi said that everyone in this country has equal right to vote. Be it a poor, farmer, laborer or Prime Minister.
Bihar will develop under grand alliance government
He alleged that names of 65 lakh voters in the state, most of whom are women, have been removed from the voter list. He challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah and said that if fair elections are conducted, the truth will come out. The Congress leader said that the real power of this country is the people, but there is no solid system of roads, health, education and electricity in Bihar. He sarcastically said that Prime Minister Modi is now busy commenting only on the posters of Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav. Priyanka Gandhi said that there is an NDA government in Bihar for the last 20 years, but in the name of development, only ‘double engine government’ is being trumpeted, whereas the reality is that the government here is run from Delhi. He promised that if the Grand Alliance government is formed, many welfare schemes will be implemented for the people of the state.
