YouTuber Elvish Yadav: ED has filed chargesheet against both of them. Both are accused of money laundering in wildlife crimes related to protected snakes and lizards.
YouTuber Elvish Yadav: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has tightened the noose on YouTuber Siddharth Yadav alias Elvish Yadav and singer Rahul Yadav alias Fazilpuriya. ED has filed chargesheet against both of them. Both are accused of money laundering in wildlife crimes related to protected snakes and lizards. The prosecution’s complaint was filed before a special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court in Gurugram, Haryana on October 13. Officials told PTI that Yadav (28), Fazilpuria (35), a company named Sky Digital India Private Limited and its director Gurkaran Singh Dhaliwal have been named as accused in the chargesheet. Difficulties have increased due to allegations of wildlife crime and money laundering against YouTuber Elvish Yadav and singer Rahul Fazilpuria. According to the agency, Elvish Yadav is accused of taking Rs 84,000 in exchange for a derogatory video uploaded in 2023.

Singer Fazilpuriya is also facing the same allegation as he was the producer and owner of the music video named ’32 Bor’. Protected wildlife species such as snakes and iguanas were used in this video in violation of Section 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act. The agency has alleged that both of them used these protected and exotic animals illegally for the purpose of increasing followers and earning money. These music videos were given to Sky Digital India Private Limited and then uploaded on YouTube to earn money. This investigation started after Noida Police arrested Elvish Yadav in connection with illegal trade of snake venom. After this the Enforcement Directorate (ED) registered a case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Recently, ED has also attached properties worth crores of Elvish and Fazilpuria, which include joint bank accounts and land.

The agency has also filed a charge sheet in connection with these allegations, due to which the problems of both have increased further. Both Elvish and Fazilpuria have been interrogated by the federal agency at its zonal Lucknow office. The central agency had registered the case in May. The ED had filed charges under PMLA against Elvish and people associated with him, taking cognizance of two FIRs and a charge sheet filed by Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida) District Police and Gurugram Police. Elvish was earlier investigated by Noida Police. The controversial YouTuber, who is also the winner of the reality show Bigg Boss OTT 2, was booked by the police under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Wildlife Protection Act and various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
