She wrote in her post, “I am leaving politics and breaking ties with my family. Sanjay Yadav and Rameez had asked me to do the same. I am taking all the blame. It is known that Sanjay Yadav is a Rajya Sabha MP from RJD and is one of the most trusted aides of Tejashwi Yadav, son and successor of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad. Rameez is said to be an old friend of Tejashwi who belongs to a political family from the neighboring state of Uttar Pradesh. Acharya a few years ago. She was in the news for donating a kidney to her father. She had contested the Lok Sabha elections from Saran last year, but it was speculated that she was unhappy with the expulsion of Prasad’s elder son from the party.

The scale of victory of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) can be gauged from the fact that its two main constituents, BJP and JD (U), contested 101 seats and achieved a strike rate of about 85 percent.
