Russia's air attack before the meeting between Zelensky and Trump

Zelensky-Trump Meeting: Zelensky will meet the US President once amid the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia. Earlier, Russia carried out an air attack on Ukraine and destroyed a hospital.

Zelensky-Trump Meeting : The ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine has entered its fourth year and the attacks have still not subsided. Meanwhile, before the meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and President Donald Trump, Russia has launched a major attack on Ukraine. In this attack, a hospital in Ukraine was destroyed and seven people were seriously injured. This attack has happened at a time when Zelensky is preparing to meet the US President and ask for military help. Regional head Olehlyubov said the Russian attack on Kharkiv in Ukraine’s north-east hit the city’s main hospital, forcing 50 patients to be evacuated from the hospital.

Moscow must be brought to the table for talks

Zelensky said that the main target of the attack was energy plants. However, he did not tell in which areas there was heavy damage. Zelensky said on Telegram that every day, every night Russia is attacking power plants, power lines and our gas facilities. He said the prolonged attacks by Russia were part of a campaign launched by Moscow in February 2022 to disrupt Ukraine’s electricity supply. The Ukrainian leader urged foreign countries to help Russia counter long-range strikes and provide the country with more air defense systems. Zelensky said the world should force Moscow to sit at the table for real negotiations. Let us tell you that Zelensky is going to meet Donald Trump on Friday and it is being told that during this time he can demand more weapons from America.

Missiles will increase tension between US and Russia

Zelensky said that we are counting on the action of all those partners, including the US, Europe and the G-7, who have these systems and who can provide them for the security of our people. At the same time, Trump has warned Moscow that he can send Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine. A move that Washington had earlier rejected out of fear of escalating the war. This will further increase the tension between America and Russia. But it could prompt talks with Moscow, as Trump has expressed disappointment over Russian President Putin’s withdrawal from aspects of a potential peace deal. Tomahawk missiles will significantly increase Ukraine’s military capability compared to before. On the other hand, Zelensky says that its attacks using long-range missiles and drones are creating a severe gas shortage in Russia.
