National Herald Case: In the National Herald case, the troubles of Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi and former Congress President Sonia Gandhi increased when Delhi Police registered an FIR on the complaint of ED. In this series, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar on Monday accused BJP of taking ‘political revenge’. At the same time, Shivkumar termed the action of Delhi Police as wrong and said that there is a limit to harassing. He said that National Herald is not the property of Sonia or Rahul Gandhi. As President, he was only the custodian of shares and he has been there since the time of Jawaharlal Nehru. Also Young India or National Herald is a part of a political party. In this matter, Shivkumar said that Motilal Vohra and Ahmed Patel are also part of it and during their time, decisions were taken to protect the interests of the Congress Party. He further said that the party was coming to an end during the time of Sitaram Kesari, so at that time we went to Sonia Gandhi and requested her to take the responsibility of the Congress. Also, under his leadership, we ruled this country for 10 years, in which Manmohan Singh, an economist, was made the Prime Minister and worked to take the Congress party forward.
Rahul Gandhi doesn’t care
Apart from this, accusing the Central Government of political torture, Karnataka’s Deputy CM said that this is jealousy and Rahul Gandhi does not care about such things. He further said that even if Rahul is put in jail, he does not care about it. Shivkumar said that I appeal to the Central Government that you are not going to get any benefit from this revenge. This will only show your moral values that how you are trying to put the opposition in jail. Deputy CM said that let us face this on the streets among the public and in the elections. Do not harass and torture the opposition by misusing various institutions.
