Bihar Election 2025: Swami Avimukteshwaranand said that in the 38 districts I visited, people there supported cow protection immensely. He said that all political parties are silent on the issue of cow protection.
Bihar Election 2025 : The dates for Bihar Assembly elections have been announced and all the political parties have geared up. Besides, a phase of allegations and counter-allegations has also started between political parties. In this series, Swami Avimukteshwarananda, Shankaracharya of Jyotirlinga Math located in Uttarakhand, announced on Monday that he will field ‘cow protectors’ as candidates in all the 243 assembly constituencies of Bihar. Shankaracharya has made this announcement after concluding his ‘Statewide Gau Mata Sankalp Yatra’. Let us tell you that this journey started on September 13 and its purpose was to directly appeal to the voters not to become participants in the sin of cow slaughter. He said that during the trip, I observed the people of Bihar very closely and found that they have deeply embedded their culture.
Visited 38 districts
Swami Avimukteshwaranand said that in the 38 districts I visited, people there greatly supported cow protection. Swami Avimukteshwaranand said that all the political parties are ignoring this issue and that is why they have to field candidates. He claimed that the candidates supporting him have started filing nominations. He said that he will reveal their names after filing the nominations, so that no obstruction of any kind comes to the fore. Besides, there will be some seats where our candidates will contest as independent candidates. At the same time, at many places they will be seen supporting other parties including Akhil Bharatiya Jan Sangh, Rashtriya Sanatani Party, Rashtriya Swabhiman Party, Sarvodaya Party and Right to Recall Party.
I got the responsibility to protect religion: Shankaracharya
Shankaracharya said that I am not directly participating in politics, because I have got the responsibility of protecting the religion, which I am fulfilling. He further said that those who allow killing and eating of cows in the society are also equal partners in sin. Shankaracharya clarified that he will not contest the elections himself, but will definitely campaign for the candidates he is fielding. We will also donate to them as per our capacity to ensure victory. Apart from this, while targeting the Central and State Government, he said that some parties which call themselves cow protectors are running on donations received from cow slaughterers. On the other hand, some people consider me an opponent of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but this is a white lie.
I am a well wisher of PM Modi
Swami Avimukteshwaranand said that I am a well-wisher of Prime Minister Modi, who is not only concerned about his life but also about the hereafter. He claimed that razors are the major cause of cow slaughter in Bihar. He said that I will deal with the razor of issues by continuously raising awareness, but I had to field candidates to deal with the remaining issues. Elections in Bihar will be held in two phases on 6th and 11th November, while the results will be declared on 14th November.
