Israel Hamas Ceasefire: Gaza may once again reach the brink of war amid the ongoing ceasefire. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a big revelation on Tuesday. Netanyahu has said that the remains of a hostage returned by Hamas are the body parts of another hostage recovered by Israeli troops in Gaza about two years ago. After this statement, the weak ceasefire agreement brokered by America is in danger of breaking. Under this ceasefire agreement, Hamas is expected to return the remains of all Israeli hostages as soon as possible. Meanwhile, Netanyahu described the return of body parts as a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement by the terrorist group.

At the same time, Israeli media says that their possible options include stopping the supply of humanitarian aid to Gaza, expanding Israeli control over Gaza or carrying out airstrikes targeting Hamas leaders. It is being told that there are still bodies of 13 hostages in Gaza and the slow recovery of these remains is posing a challenge in implementing the next phases of the ceasefire. Hamas further said that amid the massive destruction in Gaza, it is facing a lot of difficulties in locating the dead bodies. On the other hand, Israel has accused the extremist group of deliberately delaying the return of the bodies. The Israeli Army has recovered the bodies of about 51 hostages during the two-year-long Israel-Hamas war in the coastal region.
1200 people died in Hamas attack
PM Netanyahu’s office said that the remains returned overnight have been identified as those of Ofir Zarfati. Jarfati was abducted from the Nova music festival in the Hamas-led attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, which started the war. In this attack, 1200 Israeli people were killed and about 251 people were kidnapped. Let us tell you that Jarfati died in captivity and his body was recovered by Israeli soldiers in November 2023. In March 2024, his family found additional remains for burial. Jarfati’s family said in a statement that this is the third time we have been forced to open Ofir’s grave and rebury their son. The family members further said that since then we have been living with a wound that is constantly opening and they have described the return of body parts as disgusting manipulation.
