Yogi in Bihar: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who reached West Champaran on Thursday for Bihar Assembly election campaign, addressed a huge public meeting organized in Bagaha. CM Yogi attacked the opposition fiercely, appealing for the victory of NDA candidate Ram Singh from Bagaha assembly seat and NDA candidate Nand Kishore Ram from Ramnagar assembly constituency. He said that the Grand Alliance is a bundle of lies. These are the same people who occupy the land of the poor, eat the fodder of the animals and destroy the jobs of the youth. CM Yogi said that this earth is going to give shelter to Mother Sita. He said that for the people of Bagaha and Ramnagar, as much as Patna is close to them, Gorakhpur and Ayodhya are also connected to their lives. Paying tribute to the historical heritage of Bihar, Yogi Adityanath said that this is the same holy land which gave birth to Lord Mahavir, gave knowledge to Mahatma Buddha and with the pair of Chanakya-Chandragupta, took India to the golden age.

The youth of Bihar have changed history

He said that whenever the youth of Bihar stood up against injustice, history has changed. In 1975, when Congress strangled democracy by imposing emergency, the youth of Bihar took to the streets under the leadership of Jayaprakash Narayan. CM Yogi said that social justice symbol Karpoori Thakur, the country’s first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad and singer Sharda Sinha, who gave global recognition to Bhojpuri culture, all are the gifts of this land of Bihar. But the policies of Congress and RJD made this glorious Bihar needy for identity and tarnished it. CM Yogi said that Bihar had turned into ‘Jungle Raj’ under RJD rule. Robbery, murder and kidnapping had become an industry. More than 30,000 kidnappings took place during the 15 years of RJD rule. Law and order had collapsed.

Enumerated achievements of NDA government

He said that after the formation of NDA government under the leadership of Nitish Kumar in 2005, Bihar took the path of good governance. Yogi said that today Bihar has road, electricity, rail and air connectivity. Metro service has started. Electricity and pure drinking water has reached every house. Enumerating the achievements of the Modi government, he said that Prime Minister Modi has made India the fourth largest economy in the world in 11 years and it will become the third largest economy by the end of the year. He said that the Modi government has given free ration to 80 crore people, health insurance to 50 crore, toilets to 12 crore and cooking gas connections to 10 crore poor families. Earlier during the Congress rule, one had to pay 30 to 50 thousand rupees for a gas connection, today every poor house has a free connection.
