Bihar Election Dates: The temperature of politics in Bihar is going to increase further. After a long wait, the Election Commission will finally announce the dates of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 at 4 pm today. With this news, the political stir from Patna to Delhi has intensified. The Election Commission gave a thorough review of election preparations in Bihar for the last two days. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi held several meetings with the big officials of the state in Patna. These meetings discussed security arrangements, logistic support and preparations to ensure fair elections.

Gyanesh Kumar said that we want to hold elections in Bihar which are transparent, inclusive and peaceful. At the same time, in the review meeting, the Election Commission also discussed EVM management, polling stations, training of polling workers and preparations for law and order. District Election Officers and Superintendents of Police have been instructed to keep a close watch on the rumors and wrong information spread on social media and take legal action immediately if needed.
Parties kept their words
Before the election, the Commission also discussed with all major political parties like BJP, JDU, RJD, Congress, CPI (ML), Aam Aadmi Party. Many parties appealed to the Commission to conduct elections after Chhath Puja so that Pravasi Bihari can return home and vote. JDU state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha said that the party wants the voting to be held immediately after Chhath. At the same time, the BJP also supported this demand and demanded the deployment of paramilitary forces in sensitive areas so that voters could vote without fear.

The Bihar assembly elections were voted in 3 phases in 2020. This time in how many stages elections will be held, it will be clear this evening. At the same time, the Election Commission had released the last voter list on 30 September, according to which, there are now 7.42 crore voters in Bihar. The special revision of the voter list was completed ahead of the scheduled time, which cleared the way for the announcement of election dates.
