Bihar Election 2025 : The dates of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 have been announced by the Election Commission by holding a press conference. Election officials have returned to Delhi a few days ago with full stock and since then there were speculations that the dates of elections could be announced soon. This time, Bihar will vote in two phases. Earlier, BJP and JDU had demanded that Bihar elections should be held in two phases only. Let me tell you that last time elections were held in three phases in Bihar, in which the first phase was mainly concluded on 28 October 2020, the second phase on 3 November 2020 and the third on 7 November 2020.

Election Commission performs two responsibilities

The Election Commission has decided to hold elections in two phases this time. This time 6 and 11 November 2025 voting will be held and votes will be counted on 14 November. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said during the press conference that after the special intensive revision of the voter list by the Election Commission, Bihar elections will be held first. In this revision, the names of 68.5 lakh voters were removed and 21.5 lakh new names were added. He said that after five years, Bihar assembly elections will be held on the holy land of Bihar. The Election Commission is a constitutional institution and plays its responsibility in two phases, making voter list and conducting elections.
