America-China Tariff War : US President Donald Trump has once again started a tariff war against China. He has threatened China that 100 percent additional duty will be imposed on Chinese imports before November 1. After this statement of Trump, the fear of global recession has started once again. President Trump expressed disappointment over new export controls imposed by China on rare rare earth materials and said on social media that during an upcoming visit to South Korea, he saw no reason to meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. After this, Trump told reporters that he has not canceled the meeting with Xi. Meanwhile in the Oval Office he said that I do not think whether we will hold this meeting or not.
China tightened its grip on rare earth materials
Donald Trump definitely tried to make it clear that he will definitely go to China and that is why he can have a meeting with President Xi. Trump suggested that the time may soon come to reduce the tariffs imposed by him, but we will definitely have to see what happens in the future. This is why I have set November 1 as the new date for imposing the new tariff. On the other hand, on Thursday, the Chinese government has restricted access to rare earth minerals, after which foreign companies have been banned from transporting these metals abroad. Apart from this, China has also accepted the request to export the material to be used for military equipment.
China is holding the world captive: Trump
On social media, Trump described the export controls as shocking. He said China is becoming very aggressive and is holding the world captive by restricting access to metals and magnets used in electronics, computer chips, lasers, jet engines and other technologies. Trump said in a social media post that on November 1, 2025, the United States will impose 100 percent tariffs on China, which will be much higher than the tariffs currently being paid. The President also said that the US government will impose export controls on all important software of American companies to respond to China. At present, there has been no immediate reaction from China in this matter.
