Bihar Election 2025: On one hand, the date has been announced for the Bihar Assembly elections. At the same time, two parties of the Grand Alliance have fielded their candidates for Bachhwara Assembly.

Bihar Election 2025 : The dates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections have been announced and all the political parties are now deciding the seats for their candidates amid seat distribution. Meanwhile, if there is no consensus among the constituent parties in the grand alliance, we may see a cooperative contest on some seat or the other. In this series, Congress and CPI have fielded their candidates from Bachhwara Assembly seat of Bihar, while both are part of the Grand Alliance. On this seat, Congress has fielded its youth wing leader Prakash Garib Das, while CPI has filed the nomination of former MLA Awadhesh Roy.

Congress released the first list of 48 candidates

At the same time, Congress sources said that the party is in talks with its alliance partners including RJD and Left parties and the CPI candidate can withdraw his nomination from this seat. Congress on Thursday night released its first list of 48 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections and fielded its current candidates. On the other hand, state unit chief Rajesh Ram is contesting from Kutumba seat and Congress Legislature Party leader Shakeel Ahmed Khan is contesting from Kadwa. Congress announced its candidate even before finalizing the seat sharing with the Grand Alliance constituents including RJD. Let us tell you that the last date for filing nominations for the first phase of elections is October 17, while for the second phase it is October 20.

In 2020, Congress contested elections on 70 seats.

According to INDIA Block sources, RJD has agreed to Congress’s demand of 61 seats and is in talks on some key constituencies, which Congress is continuously trying to bring to its side by emphasizing them. Sources further said that along with Congress, other constituent parties of the Grand Alliance will also release the list of candidates for the remaining seats and after this many things will become clear. In the 2020 assembly elections, Congress had fielded its candidates on 70 seats and only 19 candidates had won. Let us tell you that this time the voting for the assembly elections will be held on 6th and 11th November, while the counting of votes will be done on the 14th.
