Interesting contest between 'development' and 'destruction' in Bihar

Bihar Election: BJP President JP Nadda said on Thursday that Bihar Assembly elections will be between ‘development’ of NDA and ‘destruction’ of INDIA Bloc.

Bihar Election: BJP President JP Nadda said on Thursday that Bihar Assembly elections will be between ‘development’ of NDA and ‘destruction’ of INDIA Bloc. Addressing a rally in Aurangabad district, Nadda targeted the Congress and accused it of being a parasitic party. Said that Congress eliminates its junior coalition partners. Attacking the RJD, the senior BJP leader said that the Lalu Prasad-led party is adamant on ‘rangdari’ (extortion), ‘jungle raj’ (anarchy) and ‘dadagiri’ (intimidation). Mocking RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s promise of providing employment to youth and stopping migration, he said such promises of RJD remind him of the party’s alleged involvement in the land-for-jobs scam. Criticizing RJD’s election promise of giving a government job to every family in Bihar, Nadda wanted to know from where the money would come to pay the salaries.

Freed Bihar from ‘Jungle Raj’

Nadda criticized RJD for giving ticket to Osama Shahab, son of late gangster-turned-politician Mohammad Shahabuddin, in the upcoming elections. Said that this shows how concerned the party is for Bihar. He said that RJD has fielded Shahabuddin’s son. If it fields such candidates then how can it ensure the safety of the people of Bihar? Lalu’s RJD means extortion, jungle raj and bullying. RJD has fielded Shahab from Raghunathpur assembly constituency of Siwan district. Nadda claimed that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar freed Bihar from ‘Jungle Raj’ in the last 20 years. He said that the fight in this election is between ‘development’ and ‘destruction’. He said that the people of Bihar can never forget Jungle Raj. During the tenure of Lalu Prasad, people of Bihar were forced to migrate to other states. Today the people of Bihar are seeing development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The state is continuously moving towards development.

Tejashwi is misleading the voters: Prasad

He said that the NDA government in Bihar has done a lot for the state in recent years. The railway budget for Bihar has been increased by almost 10 times by the Centre. Apart from this, out of the total 44 Vande Bharat trains recently started by the Centre, 26 are for Bihar only. On the other hand, BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad on Thursday termed the election promises of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav as impractical and accused him and his family of corruption. While talking to journalists, the BJP leader asked that RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has promised to provide government jobs to 2.6 crore people, for which an estimated Rs 12 lakh crore will be spent. The total budget of Bihar is approximately Rs 3 lakh crore. Where will they provide jobs from? He claimed that the people of Bihar will not trust a party whose track record is tainted with corruption and misgovernance.
